Cookie Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Cornwall Falconry (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website, cornwallfalconry.co.uk (the “Site”). It explains what these technologies are, which ones we use and why, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They help the website recognise your device and remember information about your visit.

Cookies can be “session cookies” (which expire when you close your browser) or “persistent cookies” (which remain on your device for a set period or until deleted). Cookies set by us are “first-party” cookies; cookies set by other organisations are “third-party” cookies.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies - Our booking and enquiry forms use a session cookie (PHPSESSID) to keep your form submission working correctly and to prevent duplicate submissions. It is deleted when you close your browser. The Site cannot work properly without it.
  • Analytics cookies - We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the Site, for example which pages are viewed and where people click or scroll, so we can improve it. See section 3.

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not sell your data.

When you first visit, a banner asks you to choose “Strictly Necessary Only” or “Accept All Cookies”. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept all cookies. We remember your choice in your browser’s local storage (under the name cf_cookie_consent) so we do not ask you again on every page. This is not sent to us and is not used for tracking.

3. Third-Party Services

Some features of the Site are provided by third parties, who may set their own cookies or collect information such as your IP address and device details:

  • Microsoft Clarity (analytics) - Records anonymised information about how you interact with the Site, such as clicks, scrolling and page views. It sets cookies including _clck and _clsk (which can last up to a year and a day respectively) as well as CLID, ANONCHK, MR and SM. More information: Microsoft Privacy Statement.
  • Google Maps - Our contact and location pages include an embedded map. Google may set cookies and collect information when the map loads. More information: Google’s cookie information.
  • Google Fonts - We load our fonts from Google Fonts. This does not set cookies, but your IP address is sent to Google so the fonts can be delivered. More information: Google Privacy Policy.
  • Payment providers (PayPal) - When you pay for an experience or gift voucher you are taken to, or served by, our payment providers. Paypal use their own cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. We do not control these cookies. More information: PayPal Privacy Statement.
  • Content delivery networks - Some scripts and styles used by the Site (such as jQuery, Tailwind CSS and Swiper) are delivered from third-party content delivery networks. These may receive your IP address when they load but do not set cookies for tracking.
  • Facebook - The Site links to our Facebook page. We do not embed Facebook content, but if you follow the link, Facebook’s own cookie and privacy policies will apply.

4. How You Can Control Cookies

You have the right to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can:

  • Adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent.
  • Delete cookies that have already been placed on your device.
  • Choose “Strictly Necessary Only” on our cookie banner. We will then not load analytics cookies.
  • Change your mind at any time using the button below. If you withdraw consent, we will remove our analytics cookies.
  • Use your browser’s private or incognito mode, or a tracking-protection extension, to limit analytics cookies.

Please note that blocking essential cookies may stop our booking and enquiry forms from working correctly.

For browser-specific instructions, you can visit:

You can find more general information about cookies, and your rights, from the Information Commissioner’s Office.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the services we use or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

We encourage you to review this page periodically for the latest information on our cookie practices.
